| Description: | Meet at the classroom for a brief introduction to flower design, then carpool to Lowe's Foods for an informal lecture on color, texture, preparation and longevity of typical grocery store selections. Purchase your flowers and then design an arrangement in your own container. Instructor will demonstrate two bowl designs. Supply list: 1 or 2 containers - small rose bowl, soba bowl, shallow vegetable bowl, or small fish bowl (small-medium high glas containers from a craft or discount store work well); sharp scissors; towel; bucket; and notepad. Optional accessories: glass marbles, medium sized rock, seashells, raffia or ribbon. Students are encouraged to bring greenery or flowers from their yard. Leather leaf greenery will be provided. |
