Welcome to the Carteret Community College Distance Education Counseling Services. We are excited that you are interested in the Distance Education program at CCC.

Distance education provides learners with an opportunity to earn college hours in a non-traditional environment. We hope that you will find the answers to many of the questions you may have regarding our program within this site. However, please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions you may have.  You may call, email, IM, or contact me by webcam.  Details will be provided below.

Enjoy navigating through our web site. Be sure to stop by our
FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) section for answers to many of the questions you may have about admissions and registration, including how to choose an academic major.  Other career counseling is online at www.CFNC.org , where you take the Career Key assessment test.

Carteret Community College recognizes that distance learners, like all students, need access to counseling and other student services. Student to Counselor contact is a critical component to the student's successful educational development. Advising can be accomplished by telephone at 252.222.6148, via email at
maj@carteret.edu, IM (Windows Instant Messaging), or by arranging for a "face to face" meeting via webcam.  If you choose to communicate by webcam or IM, please contact me by email initially, so that we can determine a time to communicate.

Thank you for your interest in distance education, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Counseling office hours (Eastern Standard Time):  Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 8-5, Wednesday 8-12, 4-7, Friday 8-3:30.  Summer hours do not include Fridays.
