Parameters for Carteret Community College Phase II
1. Directions (and your expectations) for beginning the course are clear and understandable.
2.The course provides students opportunities to interact with their instructor and peers.
3. Your instructional methodology address (are sensitive to) a variety of learning styles.
4. The course is designed for easy navigation and course materials are illustrated visually as well as with text.
5. All hyperlinks are accurate (functional) and up-to-date.
6. A method for timely feedback on your course assignments is provided to the students.
7. Exams and quizzes are well-designed and relevant to course material.
8. Adequate time is allotted to complete exams or quizzes.
9. Curriculum or Course Banner

10. Syllabus, grading policy and course outline are up to date and are placed in the Course Information Link.
11. Assignments Page and/or Course Calendar are clear and up to date and due dates are current and identifiable.
12. Your discussion boards (forums) are interactive, up to date and have posted dates for each discussion. Remember that discussion boards can be turned on and off so even though you can see it the students may not.
13. External Links to additional resources are provided and functional.
14. Introductory
Announcement is available first day of class and
gives students a basic overview of the class and the instructor's
expectations for success in the class.
These online course parameters (guidelines)
can be modified accordingly depending upon the course content
and teaching methodology.
