Welcome
to the Financial Aid Office
of
Carteret Community College
A college education is a
major investment.
However, it is an investment of time, dedication, and money that will
seem small when you realize the profits of such an education. Carteret
Community College offers financial assistance on the basis of need and
academic progress. The College believes that no student who is
determined to gain a college education should be denied the opportunity
because of financial need. There is, in most cases, financial aid
available if the eligible student applies in time and completes all of
the required forms properly.
Who Is Eligible For Aid?
Financial aid is considered to be the “umbrella” that
all of
the different financial aid programs fall under. Grants, loans,
work-study jobs, child care assistance and scholarships are all
classified as financial aid. Therefore, all first-time,
returning, and transfer students are encouraged to apply. Eligibility
is based on a need-based system as well as the number of credit hours
being taken, and in some cases, the program of study in which the
student is enrolled.
