Transfer to a University

Carteret Community College has transfer agreements with the University of North Carolina System (UNC). The descriptions below identify the three agreements transfer students at Carteret Community College have with the UNC system.

 

Associate in Arts (AA) / Associate in Science (AS) – 60 semester hours of credit

Based on the 2014 Comprehensive Articulation Agreement, CCC graduates of the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science programs will be granted admission to at least one of the UNC institutions. CCC graduates must obtain a grade of “C” or better in each course and an overall GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in order to transfer with a junior status.

AA/AS Comprehensive Articulation Agreement

 

Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts – 60 semester hours of credit

The Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts program focuses on developing seamless transfer for students who begin visual arts studies at CCC and then transfers to one of the UNC BFA visual arts programs. To be eligible for the transfer of credits under the AFAVA to the BFA, CCC graduates must obtain a grade of “C” or better in each course and an overall GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

    Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts Uniform Articulation Agreement

 

Associate in Engineering – 60 semester hours of credit

The Associate in Engineering (AE) degree provides required general education and prerequisite courses that will aid in meeting the entrance requirements to all UNC Bachelor of Engineering programs. To be eligible for the transfer of credits under the AE to the Bachelor of Science in Engineering agreement, CCC graduates must obtain a grade of “C” or better in each course and an overall GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
