3d Studio Max
Students work hands-on in this course to learn 3D modeling, create and apply realistic textures, learn lighting principles/techniques, camera types and usage, and key framing procedures. Also covers storyboards, animation, and rendering output for different mediums (film, video, Internet, etc.) and creating parts for manufacturing. Instructor, Jay Tyson has worked in the arts and entertainment industry for over 22 years, has worked for The Jim Henson Company on productions like Muppets from Space and builds/designs for movies and video productions all over the world. Computer Boot Camp
This course is designed to provide the fundamental computer skills you need to survive and prosper in today’s fast-changing workplace. You will learn how to implement the powers of modern office software to work faster and more efficiently focusing on practical applications for software most common to the workplace. This is an essential course for those with little or no computer skills to learn what you need to be employed in today’s workplace. Covers the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, as well as networking, internet and email.

Digital Photography
Course concentrates on the successful use of a digital camera to produce professional images. Emphasis is placed on learning the features of the camera and how to properly use them, including Aperture Mode, Shutter Priority Mode and Manual Mode. Learn how to focus on the successful visual composition of your photos. Students will begin to develop a portfolio of their own personal vision. Students will need to bring a digital camera along with a thumb drive to the class.

Photoshop Elements
If you’re a novice with no photo-editing experience or you want to upgrade skills you learned in an earlier version of Elements, this course is for you. New features include Guided Edits, which guide users step-by-step through the process of achieving certain image looks, and a range of image organization options. There’s also an option to upload videos directly to sharing sites such as Facebook and YouTube. Edit images, correct flaws, create images for marketing, prepare images for email and the Web, and organize your images so you can keep track of them.

Portrait Photography
Learn how to work with all different types of subjects, from individuals and groups to children and pets. Learn the nuances of lighting and posing, how to shoot in studio or on location, and how to master the gear you will need to create inspiring work. By the end of the course, you will complete a series of photo projects, have an understanding of the art of portrait photography, and will have created a portfolio of your photographic work.
