Bank Teller Training
Course designed for persons interested in becoming bank tellers and cashiers. Topics include processing transactions, cash balancing, bank services, bank security, and customer service. BB&T and Sound Bank promise to interview all graduates! (Interview does NOT guarantee employment.) Curriculum has been approved by the American Institute of Banking.

Professional Bookkeeping Certificate
Get three in one! First, learn the principles of double-entry bookkeeping and master the basics of preparing financial statements. Analyze business transactions, prepare end-of-period worksheets and financial statements. Learn about adjusting and closing entries, accounts receivable/payable, specialized journals and ledgers. Second, learn about payroll accounting, income tax and sales tax, payroll taxes, deferred compensation arrangements, cafeteria plans, taxable and non-taxable benefits, payroll reporting requirements and payroll management. Third, you’ll pull this all together using Quickbooks, a professional accounting system.

Certified Pool and Spa
This course introduces the North Carolina Swimming Pool regulations. Students will understand swimming pool calculations, chemistry, and filtration. This course is designed for individuals having responsibility for maintenance and operation of a swimming pool. Note: Must bring check payable to the National Swimming Pool Foundation for $30. Prepayment required.

Human Services Exploration: DSS Caseworker (Phase 1)
This course is the first of a two part training program designed to provide the skills needed to start a career in Human Services with an emphasis on employment with the NC Department of Social Services (DSS).  Gain entry level skills required to become a DSS employee, as well as interview and resume skills, job search and workplace success skills, and customer service skills.

Professional Wedding and Event Planning
From creating event concepts and planning ceremony details to handling vendor contracts, you will learn the professional processes used to make a couple’s dream wedding or any special event or party a success. You will have practice assignments geared toward starting a business in the industry and develop items including client contracts, service packages, and client profiling forms that can be put to use immediately in your new career. Templates and real-life examples.  Students that successfully complete the training will also have the opportunity to intern for hands-on experience in wedding and special event planning. Instructor, Rachel Garton is the Owner/Lead Designer of Tildy Floral Designs and A Change of A Dress and previously an owner of Bridal by the Sea. Rachel is a Certified Professional Wedding Coordinator and has been a part of the wedding industry of the Crystal Coast since 2002. Rachel began her business in Carmel, California in 1998.
