ACE MediCupping Therapy Level I
Receive education in theory and application of ACE MediCupping™ therapy, along with demonstration of both basic and advanced techniques and treatments using a versatile vacuum machine that can replace manual tools for the busy therapist. ACE MediCupping™ greatly enhances the benefits of massage, decreases strain on the practitioner, and increases revenues through “add-on” services. This versatile technique mimics massage movements ranging from deep tissue and myofascial release to the light pumping movements of lymphatic drainage. Chronic Neck Pain
Treating neck pain and cervical injuries requires assessment, palpation skills and an understanding of the hands-on application for the 3 stages of inflammation. The students will learn hands-on protocols for the neck/shoulders, associated kinesiology, structures, endangerment areas and contraindications. Hands-on techniques learned in this class can easily be incorporated into any massage routine. *Included in the class fee are the mandatory requirements “NC Professional Ethics, 3 CE” which will be offered online through www.massagecelearningtree.com at the completion of the course. Clinical Aromatherapy I
Learn hands-on, advanced theory and techniques of clinical aromatherapy as well as skills in assessment, direct and indirect application, indications/contraindications, safety precautions, two (2) French blending methods, oncology-related symptoms/conditions and current essential oil research. We’ll study twelve essential oils and create custom French blends. This course is part I of a three-part series that will lead to Level I Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy. Emphasis is placed on advanced theory and techniques of clinical aromatherapy as well as skills in assessment, direct and indirect application, indications/contraindications, safety precautions, two (2) French blending methods, oncology-related symptoms/conditions and current essential oil research. Twelve essential oils will be studied. Upon completion, the student of Clinical Aromatherapy should be able to apply advanced skills safely to human clients. This is a hands-on workshop. Time will be allotted to create custom French blends. This course is part II of a three-part series that will lead to Level I Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy. After successful completion of this course, student is awarded Level 1 Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy (CCA). This course is part III of a three-part series. Effective Strategies for Neck and Shoulder Pain
Easy and effective strategies for the most common causes of neck and shoulder pain. Covers antagonistic muscle systems, trigger points that cause proprioceptive issues, and Vladimir Janda’s Upper Crossed Syndrome, which is necessary for effective treatment of Forward Head Position. Also covered is basic palpation and assessment of frozen shoulder and rotator cuff damage. Must know foundational trigger points and upper body anatomy. Reciprocal inhibition for pain relief and neuro-muscular re-education is used extensively. Please review the relevant anatomy before class. Sixteen (16) CEU’s approved by NCBTMB. Herbal Ayurvedic Treatments: Poultices and Body Masks
Learn the basics of specific Ayurvedic herbs used in traditional Ayurvedic massage treatments. In addition, students will create Ayurvedic herbal poultices, and learn the protocol and techniques for Pinda Swedana (warm herbal poultice) therapy. Participants will create the traditional herbal powder used for massage (udvartanam) and a traditional herbal masque (lapayam) and complete a traditional herbal back treatment. Introduction to Craniosacral
If you’ve always been interested in experiencing craniosacral work and connecting with the body/mind on a “deeper level”, this is the class for you! Craniosacral is a “non-invasive/subtle therapy” which can be added to any session. A simple technique which is primarily based on intention, soft hands and an open heart, it has been successful in addressing a variety of conditions. In this class we will look at the basic anatomy of the craniosacral system and practice a 10 step protocol which will be performed through the clothing. The NC mandatory 3 CE Professional Ethics is included online and will be available after course completion. Awards 8 NCBTMB CEUs upon successful completion.Prepayment required after July 1, 2018.
