Clinical Aromatherapy I
The purpose of Clinical Aromatherapy I course is to enlighten and educate the student with knowledge of various aromatic plant oils and their healing properties. Learn when and when not to use therapeutic grade essential oils. This course introduces concepts basic to the role of the novice aromatherapist using a variety of essential plant oils. Emphasis is placed on beginning theory and techniques of clinical aromatherapy as well as skills in assessment, direct and indirect application, indications / contraindications, safety precautions, French blending methods and current essential oil research. Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to apply basic practical clinical aromatherapy skills safely to human clients. This is a hands-on course with time allotted to create custom French essential oil blends. This course is part I of a three-part series that will lead to Level I Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy. Twelve (12) CE’s approved by NCBTMB. Course teaches advanced knowledge of various aromatic plant oils and their healing properties. Introduces advanced concepts using a variety of essential plant oils. Emphasis is placed on advanced theory and techniques of clinical aromatherapy as well as skills in assessment, direct and indirect application, indications/contraindications, safety precautions, two (2) French blending methods, oncology-related symptoms/conditions and current essential oil research. Twelve essential oils will be studied. Upon completion, the student of Clinical Aromatherapy should be able to apply advanced skills safely to human clients. This is a hands-on workshop. Time will be allotted to create custom French blends. This course is part II of a three-part series that will lead to Level I Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy. ACE MediCupping Therapy Level I
Receive education in theory and application of ACE MediCupping™ therapy, along with demonstration of both basic and advanced techniques and treatments using a versatile vacuum machine that can replace manual tools for the busy therapist. ACE MediCupping™ greatly enhances the benefits of massage, decreases strain on the practitioner, and increases revenues through “add-on” services. This versatile technique mimics massage movements ranging from deep tissue and myofascial release to the light pumping movements of lymphatic drainage. Used regularly, ACE MediCupping™ therapy is a terrific approach to promoting wellness for our clients. The three-day workshop is fun and informative, with plenty of hands-on activity. ACE MediCupping Therapy Level II
While Level I workshops focus on learning the technique, movements, applications and safety, Level II will take this knowledge and build upon it to truly position the practitioner “within the treatment cup” along with integrating a more intense scrutiny of hydration issues in the “body of water”. 22 NCBTMB CEs for completers. Herbal Ayurvedic Treatments: Poultices and Body Masks
Ayurveda, also known as the “Science of Life” has a rich history as a healing practice, and its popularity is growing in the US as a wonderful natural lifestyle choice for longevity and health.  This class features an in-depth look at several herbs used in traditional Ayurvedic bodywork treatments. Participants will create herbal poultices and learn the traditional protocol for Pinda Sweda (herbal poultice), including instruction on creating and using herbal compresses for a cooling, ayurvedic face massage.  Students will also blend the traditional herbal powder that is used for invigorating massage and complete an herbal back therapy / udvartanam treatment. All treatments can easily be incorporated into any massage therapy practice.

Clinical Aromatherapy III educates the advanced student with further knowledge of various aromatic plant oils and their healing properties. This course focuses on advanced concepts using a variety of essential plant oils. Emphasis is placed on plant chemistry, oncology-safe oils, advanced blending techniques, advanced skills in assessment, direct and indirect application, indications / contraindications, safety precautions, proper dilutions, and current essential oil research. Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to apply advanced clinical aromatherapy skills safely to human clients. After successful completion of this course, student is awarded Level 1 Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy (CCA). This course is part III of a three-part series. Twelve (12) CE hours approved by NCBTMB. Dr. Tim Reischman is NCBTMB Provider #1153. Prepayment required.

Taut Band Therapy: Upper Back, Neck and Shoulder
This workshop offers active demonstrations and lots of hands-on experience in assessing and treating painful muscular-skeletal problems. Students will learn to identify the taut bands that perpetuate trigger point and attachment site pain. Tools include functional analysis, palpation, range of motion, and strength resistance testing. Lengthening the tight muscle fibers within taut bands is the key to effective pain reduction. Techniques learned in this workshop will emphasize this strategic approach. Awards 16 NCMTB Ceus hours upon successful completion.
