HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT
HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM CONCENTRATION

The Hotel and Restaurant Management curriculum prepares students to understand and apply the administrative and practical skills needed for supervisory and managerial positions in hotels, motels, resorts, inns, restaurants, institutions, and clubs.

Course work includes front office management, food preparation, guest services, sanitation, menu writing, quality management, purchasing, and other areas critical to the success of hospitality professionals.

Upon completion, graduates should qualify for supervisory or entry-level management positions in food and lodging including front office, reservations, housekeeping, purchasing, dining room and marketing. Opportunities are also available in the support areas of food and equipment sales.

We invite you to visit our campus on the beautiful Crystal Coast and talk with the faculty advisor about the wonderful educational opportunities that await you. Successfully training students to find gainful employment is our goal. Instructors work in partnership with local employers to evaluate the job skills needed for successful employment. We have developed a curriculum that teaches students to address those needs in a competitive economy. Our faculty advisor monitors student progress and assist students toward the completion of their academic goals. The Hotel & Restaurant Management program offers students the opportunity to work with local employers in a cooperative educational experience. Student success is measured through job placement and employer feedback. Day, evening, and online classes are available.
