Events and Workshops

Carteret Community College prides itself on having close ties to the community with educational opportunities and community involvement in many of its activities. This is especially true with the activities in the Marine Propulsion Department.

CCC has hosted a variety of training workshops for the Association of Marine Technicians, AMTECH workshops.
CCC is working with the U.S. Coast Guard to provide custom tailored specialized training for its outboard engine technicians and other personnel working with small boat engines.
In the Spring of 2003, the Marine Propulsion Systems Department coordinated the college's first annual Unique Boat Show in which the public had an opportunity to see a variety of unusual and rare boats on display.
The program also participated in the Greensboro Bass and Saltwater Boat Show providing information to potential students from all over North Carolina.
Students and their families enjoyed a little fun and goodwill in promoting the college’s program by participating in the Morehead City Christmas Parade.
