| The medical sonography curriculum prepares
the graduate to be a sonographer, a skilled medical professional
who uses high frequency sound waves to image the body.
Course
work includes clinical rotations to area health care facilities,
cross-sectional anatomy, sonography physics, along with abdomen,
pelvic, vascular, and obstetric sonography.
Graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists’ sonography exam. Sonographers can find
employment in clinics, physician’s offices, mobile services,
hospitals, and educational institutions.
