Friday, September 10, 2010 Not rated, Universal Pictures
In this highly acclaimed motion picture, based on Harper Lee’s semi-autobiographical novel (celebrating it’s 50th birthday this year!), six year old Jean Louise “Scout” Finch is growing up in a small Southern town during the depression era of the 1930’s. Scout’s father, Atticus (Gregory Peck), a local lawyer, is a wise, quiet man with a great sense of justice who defends a poor, African-American man accused of rape. Gregory Peck won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Atticus Finch.
