Biography:	Tara purchases all library materials and oversees bibliographic instruction. She is also the system administrator for the library's automation system and online catalog. Tara is a member of the North Carolina Community College Learning Resources Association (NCCCLRA). She also serves on the Conference Planning Committee for NCCCLRA. At Carteret Community College, she serves on the President's Strategic Planning Committee, the QEP Committee, and the Arts and Humanities Committee. Tara has also taught music in the Carteret County public school system. She performs periodically as a vocalist in the county, singing for recitals in Joslyn Hall and at other venues. She has also been a church choir director for many years. In her spare time, Tara enjoys designing web pages, genealogy research, boating, movies, cooking, traveling, and she is a published poet.
