CCC offers students a wide range of co-curricular programs. It is the belief of the CCC staff that when students are afforded such opportunities as clubs and organizations they will graduate with a greater sense of self-direction and a higher level of satisfaction with the institution.

Academic Support Center
The Academic Support Center (ASC) is in the Henry J. McGee building. It includes the Writing Center, Math Center, the Open Computer Lab, and the Testing Center. All CCC students and employees are welcome.

Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP)
Founded in 2006, C-STEP enables more community college students to transfer to and graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Selected students are guaranteed eventual admission to Carolina.

Minority Male Success Initiative – R.I.T.E. Program
The Mentoring Male Success Initiative (MMSI) provides comprehensive activities to promote the personal development, academic improvement, social and educational advancement among Carteret Community Colleges diverse student population. The program was developed to increase the success and retention rates among minority students at the college.

Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association (SGA) is “your voice” and “your advocate.” Every Activity Fee paying Carteret Community College student is a member of the SGA. The SGA offers members the opportunity to build leadership and communication skills, to learn work-related responsibilities, and to create an efficient office environment.

TRiO – Student Support Services
Through a grant competition, funds are awarded to institutions of higher education to provide opportunities for academic development, assist students with basic college requirements, and to motivate students toward the successful completion of their post-secondary education. Student Support Services (SSS) projects also may provide grant aid to current SSS participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grants. The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants.

Veteran Student Success Center
The Veteran Student Success Center (VSSC) provides all military affiliated students at Carteret Community College with information to increase awareness of their veteran benefits. The VSSC also ensures that students are advised of all resources available related to their needs and provided the support necessary for a successful educational experience.
