ECU Pirate Promise

In Fall 2018, Carteret Community College and East Carolina University began a collaboration called the Pirate Promise. If you are interested in transferring to ECU, consider participating in the Pirate Promise.

Joining the Pirate Nation while attending Carteret Community College can be beneficial in various ways:

  • Guaranteed admission to ECU
  • Waived ECU transfer application fee
  • Joint academic advising
  • Joint financial aid counseling
  • Access to ECU Libraries
  • Participate in select campus activities including “invitation only” Pirate Promise events at ECU

UNC Chapel Hill C-STEP Program

Carteret Community College has partnered with UNC-Chapel Hill to help students transfer to Carolina. The Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) provides opportunities for students to aid in the transition to UNC-Chapel Hill, which include special events, advising, and support services at CCC at Carolina.

Students must be enrolled in the Associate of Arts (AA) or the Associate of Science (AS) degree programs and complete the degree with a minimum GPA of 3.2.

ECU Partnership East Education Program

Partnership East is a collaboration between Carteret Community College and East Carolina University College of Education. Students can graduate with a four-year degree in elementary education, middle grades education, or special education from East Carolina University by completing the first two years of the program at CCC followed by taking ECU courses online.
