Calligraphy – Copperplate, Introduction to
Learn the art of ornamental handwriting to create modern pieces by using the copperplate style of calligraphy and the tools required to create this style. Students will practice, critique and complete at least one project. Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to: identify copperplate calligraphy; demonstrate basic skills in letter formation; and utilize new skills in a simple, original calligraphy project. How music works and plays. Beginners will learn about the structural elements of music and how they work together to create different genres of music. In each class students will listen to music; define scales, chords and notes and eventually create music of their own. Students will be able to write eight major scales and their relative minors, identify three and four-note chord types, read key and time signatures, identify common chord progressions in different music genres and create a song of their own.

Yoga – Gentle Restore with Jade
Instructor Jade Theresa Morton guides students through therapeutic style yoga stretches, deep breathing and relaxation techniques to relieve stress and help restore the body and mind. This class is designed to safely improve flexibility, strength, alignment and reduce pain while aiding with anxiety, grieving, cancer recovery and PTSD. Yoga – Intermediate Level II
Join advanced yoga instructor, Sasha McClure, RYT 500, as she guides students through an alignment-based Vinyasa Flow in this new Yoga-Intermediate II class. Understanding of basic posturing will be helpful, but is not required. All are welcome!
