Artistic Welding and Cutting
Artists and the welding industry are a natural merger for sculpture. This course will focus on the basic MIG and TIG welding processes necessary for artists to work creatively to fabricate their designs. Safety is of utmost importance and students must attend class with proper personal protective equipment which includes no synthetic, ripped or frayed clothing, steel toe shoes, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket and welding cap.

General Welding I
This course is intended for anyone wanting to better their welding and cutting skills. Course emphasizes one-on-one instruction as well as some group demonstration. This allows for beginners and experienced welders to achieve maximum results with little unproductive time.  All processes will be available to either learn the basics or focus on one process and work towards American Welding Society Certifications. Certifications consist of skill-based tests with preset acceptance criteria to pass and can only be awarded to students who meet the requirements specified in AWS guidelines. Safety is of utmost importance and students must attend class with proper personal protective equipment which includes no synthetic, ripped or frayed clothing, steel toe shoes, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket and welding cap. Pliers and channel lock are recommended, but not required.

General Welding II

Welding: TIG
This course is intended for GTAW (TIG) welding starting from the beginner level and ending with American Welding Society (AWS) certification. Students will learn to weld in all positions using the Gas Tungston Arc Welding process. AWS certification will be issued to students who successfully meet the standards. Topics covered include GTAW safety, plate preparation, filler metals, shielding gasses and equipment set up and operation. There are no prerequisites for the course.   Safety is of utmost importance and students must attend class with proper personal protective equipment which includes no synthetic, ripped or frayed clothing, steel toe shoes, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket and welding cap.
